Milestones so far

A few of the achievements recorded in our annual report, region by region.

Alaba

Our very first missionary, Sultan Anshiso, was sent here. Within two months, 8 people from the Muslim community came to the Lord, were baptized, and handed to Meserete Kristos Church — most still serve in ministry today. We also enrolled 50 students with full school supplies, supported 34 more needy students plus 3 ministers' children, and distributed a 100kg sack of shoes to women, children, and the elderly. A bridge project over the Blate River has begun, with cement and a mason brought in. We also trained 100 missionaries from 18 local churches over two days, and started the "Alaba for Christ" prayer fellowship after two days of fasting and prayer.

Addis Ababa area

At Ajanba Jemo Mountain, an area once given over entirely to witchcraft, two years of costly prayer saw it uprooted and churches planted in its place. At Tafo Mebrate, a church was planted despite severe persecution — stones thrown through corrugated iron roofs, danger even to pregnant women — until COVID-19 interrupted the work.

Alemgena

We planted a church here to replace one that had closed after our founder's husband, Mulugeta, was imprisoned for the Gospel. That congregation is led today by the very youth we raised.

Lalibela

We purchased all 66 books of the Bible for 14 Bible study leaders serving underground believers at Lalibela Monastery.

Debre Birhan

At the Correctional Facility, we brought hygiene supplies, water jerrycans, clothing, Bibles, and tracts for inmates, and trained believing inmates to reach their fellow prisoners with the Gospel.

Ayat Tafo

Guided by God, we planted a church here and have held baptisms twice.

Bonga

Five missionaries were trained and sent — one of them from the Manja community. What started with that single person has become a movement: a new branch church planted roughly every six months, with 4 branches planted in 2015 E.C. alone. We've also built schools across two kebeles here.

A Prayer to Receive Jesus Christ

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. Right now, I turn away from my past and my sins. I invite you to come into my heart and life. I confess that you are my Lord and Savior, and I give my life to you. Thank you for saving me and giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

If you just prayed this prayer, we would love to hear from you and walk with you.
